The Manila’s Five Loveliest Foundation, headed by president Rumples Estacio (M5L 2004), is composed of focused and young women, belonging to a unified and committed organization, which embodies the ideals and spirit of community service. We continually aim to give something back to the community, with the determination and dedication to serve for the welfare of others.
The Manila’s Five Loveliest Foundation will be staging an eventful show with its annual fundraising event entitled GLOW, a word emulating the chic, smart, and sophisticated women of today, passionate to make a difference in the world around her. Glow (Year 2) will be held on April 26, 2006, 6pm at Greenbelt 2’s chic M Café.
Glow: A Celebration of Beauty and Brains, will be attended by Manila’s hip society, prominent personalities, as well as various guests from the business and government sector.
The event will feature four highlights: a fashion show, a photo exhibit, a painting auction and awarding of different distinct women. The fashion show, with additional set design by Flowers by Mandarin, shall take place featuring a series of heart-stopping creations by talented designers and merchandisers: Aranaz bags by Amina Aranaz (M5L 1999), Pandango couture by Finina Tugade (M5L 2005), Bayo’s summer collection, and Clinique’s Spring 2006 colour collection all of these are to be modeled by select ladies from Manila’s Five Loveliest.
To add to the exciting night with Viña Lanzar wine to keep the crowd company, another feature will be the photo exhibit made possible by Epson’s photo printing technology. An extraordinary display of beauty and character embodied by, again, select ladies from Manila’s Five Loveliest. This exhibit will bring together the unique artistry of Rumples Estacio (M5L 2004) and Bianca Valerio (M5L 2000) as makeup artists and stylist in collaboration with the items included in the fashion show, graphic designer Angelo Baretto as well as this generation’s up and coming photographers: Miguel Miranda, Marvin Macalintal, and David Fabros.
Gallery Joaquin with the kind support of select prime artists have immortalized the enchanting beauty of select lovelies by capturing them in canvass. These paintings shall be auctioned alongside exquisite paintings that all speak of the foundation’s trademark qualities of beauty, elegance and pure artistry.
Other sponsors for the event include: Nice Travel and Tours, and Golfer’s Club and Discovery Suites.
Lastly, the Manila’s Five Loveliest Foundation in our efforts to push the message of the Yabang Pinoy campaign, has chosen five distinct women in society who inspire and evoke action, not only in women but also in men. We believe that these Filipinas are driven individuals who serve as examples in more ways than one. They actively participate in their respective activities that benefit much to the society, spending much of their time trying to make a difference in their own ways. We recognize these women as a blessing to Philippine Society, another reason believe in the Filipino and live the Filipino way.
These include: Miss International 2006, Precious Lara Quigaman, Eco-warrior/actress/musical artist, Chin-Chin Gutierrez, International fashion designer, Monique Lhuillier, Theater artist/student/writer, KC Concepcion, and Champion equestrienne/student, Danielle Cojuangco.
Proceeds from this exciting event will be granted to various beneficiaries such as the Preda, Child Foundation Inc., Casa Miani Orphanage and Children’s Environmental Awareness and Action Foundation.
