Pearls make a woman look so much prettier

Hi, Lucy!
Ive asked my mom to check out some cultured pearls for my wife and she was told to get Mikimoto pearls (that is, earrings with ring; the earrings are pearls while the ring is a pearl with little diamonds on the sides). I checked out the website on Mikimoto pearls, and they looked nice, like the pink pearls. I told my mom to look for white pearls (not the usual stuff from Greenhills), but her suki offered the Mikimoto pearls. Are Mikimoto pearls a good buy? My wife and I are both working abroad and this is one gift Id like her to have. Shes in her late 20s.
FYI, I was the one who wrote several times about a guy looking for a lipstick brand for his girlfriend and also about facial cleansing and wedding tips. My girlfriend is now my wife.

Yes, Mikimoto, available at Rustans, is a reputable brand. I would also ask you to go to Jewelmer also because they have such nice South Sea pearls. Pearls always make a woman look so much prettier and every lady must have good quality pearls in her jewelry box. Pearls are a classic.

Hi, Tingting!
Im getting married this December. Im 27, fair skinned, and 54" tall. The problem is I only weigh 80 lbs. Id like to gain weight for my wedding. I admire Chynna Ortaleza who used to be skinny but has beautifully filled out. Ive tried all kinds of vitamins Appebon, Appetens, Propan, Mosegor, even Enervon. I eat a lot; I have a rice meal at least four times a day. But they say my metabolism burns the calories and energy rapidly. Do you know what vitamins/medicines I should take to gain weight? I dont want to look like a corpse in my wedding gown.

I myself cant seem to gain weight in spite of what I eat. Maybe you should drink milk and load up on carbohydrates, just like what Hollywood actresses do when they have to fill out for a role. For instance, Renee Zellweger pigged out on Krispy Kreme donuts for her role in the Bridget Jones Diary. As for vitamins, take B1, B6, and B12, which are appetite stimulants.
When youre older, youll want to lose weight. In the meantime, enjoy your tight pants, body-hugging shirts, or even your padded bra.

Dear Mary,
Im in my early 40s and a mother of three. My eldest sons graduation is fast approaching and everyone is excited about it. My question is: What should I wear? Should I wear a modern barong dress that I saw in one boutique, or a short-sleeved blouse with skirt embroidered with tiny sequins, or should I just wear a semi-formal dress? By the way, Im 51."
What about my hair should I wear it long and straight, or should I have it cellophaned and relaxed, or cut shorter and temporarily curled? Please help coz time is running out.
Conscious Mom
Im sure youd look very pretty in the skirt with little sequins. And if theres another formal event you have to attend, you are quite prepared as you can use this dress again.
As for your hairdo, I think cellophaned and relaxed would be more becoming. Besides, it would make you look years younger.
