Wanted: Shoes for big feet

STYLE S.O.S. - Tingting Cojuangco -
Hi, Lucy!

I have a hard time finding shoes that fit me. My size is 10-1/2 to 12 (really big). And to think that shoes are my weakness! Actually, they say I’m a well-proportioned woman. Can you help me find stores that carry big sizes of shoes that are both stylish and affordable? Can you also give me tips on what style of clothes I should wear with what type of shoes? I have a lot of parties to attend this holiday season. – Leih

I can relate to you. I know how frustrating it can be to have so many beautiful shoes before you, yet not be able to find even just one pair in your size!

I usually buy my shoes when I travel or I order them through the Internet. I get lots of good deals especially when I chance upon them off season. Also, you can check out ninewest.com, they have very affordable shoes.

Locally, I have my shoes made by Lila Almario. I swear by her ballet flats, especially because they are so comfortable and soft. I can use them the whole day and my feet won’t hurt one bit. I also ordered from her jeweled thongs that never fail to get compliments whenever I wear them.

Always buy good shoes. You have to be kind to your feet.  An ill-fitting pair will just give you bunions and calluses – not a pretty thing for a woman to have. As for the style, it really depends on your personal preference. I assume you’re very tall to have feet that size, so offhand, I would say get some ballet flats/skimmers and dressy thong sandals. They are my staples and I can wear them with practically everything. – Lucy

The Breast Things In Life Are Not Free
Dear Tingting,

I’m 30 years old and hopelessly flat-chested. I don’t need to be well-endowed up there in my kind of job (I’m a teacher), but I do love dressing up. What sort of clothes would you suggest for this girl who needs some support from the Community Chest? – No Bosom Friend

The breast things in life are not free – you can either go for a breast enhancement or use a wonderbra. Otherwise, you can hide this flaw through smart dressing. For you and your no-bosom friends, I would suggest clothes with breast pockets. You can also go for loose vests or boleros. Tingting
