The long and short of dangling earrings

STYLE S.O.S. - Tingting Cojuangco -
Dear Lucy,

As you know, being a fashionista, long and big dangling earrings are in fashion nowadays. And I really like to wear one of those earrings. But is it okay to wear that kind of earrings to work? I work as a librarian in a school. Is it appropriate to wear with my uniform? Wouldn’t it affect my so-called "professional image"? I’m really confused. – Confused Librarian

I don’t think it is improper for a librarian to wear dangling earrings to work, provided you do not have a mandatory uniform and they match the outfit you are wearing. However, if you are required to wear a uniform, I think it would be best to just wear your ear danglers after work. – Lucy

Paging ‘If’
Hi, Ms. Mary, Ms. Tingting, and Ms. Lucy!

I read Mara Dizon’s recom-mendation in your column last Aug. 17. I would just like to add something to answer If’s query on lice-free shampoo. There’s a certain brand on the market that caters to people with a headlice problem. The shampoo is all-natural and clinically proven effective after 14 days of daily use. The shampoo I’m referring to is Oilganics headlice treatment shampoo. Unlike other headlice treatment shampoos that contain pesticides, which can be very dangerous to one’s health, this one is safe for everyday use and even for children since its active ingredients are purely herbal.

I hope If reads this. – Karen Tan

‘Dandruff Keeps Falling From My Head’
Hi, Mary!

I’m really bothered by my dandruff problem. It’s so embarrassing, especially if I’m wearing a black outfit and white flakes suddenly appear. It’s like being caught in the snow – except that we don’t have snow in the Philippines. – Bothered

For a lot of people, Nizoral has been very effective in getting rid of dandruff. Use the shampoo once or twice a week. – Mary
