Schwarzkopf Philippine Hairdresser of the Year Danny Katalbas of Emphasis Salon suggests four looks for the new year.
"Color is important," says Danny. A rosy red hue dominates one of his two creations from the hair to the lips, eyes and cheeks. Danny applied Schwarzkopf Igora Personalitys burgundy on the ends of the models hair. "The trend in hair color is to have chunky shades. But you should also make sure that you can carry it," he advises. He then blow-dried the hair to create a semi-flyaway effect, applying Schwarzkopfs OSIS Magic all throughout for shine and volume. "This look is perfect for afternoon parties," he says.
With the same model, he did a cool updo with the help of OSIS Squeeze Hold & Shine Gel and OSIS Scream Shine & Care Lotion for nightouts. "It should look very casual. Using these products helps you achieve that playful styling," he says. Danny then misted the hair with Schwarzkopfs Silhouette Super Hold Hairspray to help it last through the night. For makeup, he added a purplish shade to the eyes and a darker shade of red to the lips and cheeks.
For a funky daytime look, Danny created a playful red violet do using Schwarzkopfs Rio Samba. "The shades are very subtle," he says. This went well with the models layered hair and fair complexion. He styled the tresses with the help of Schwarzkopfs OSIS Squeeze Hold & Shine Gel. This was complemented by bluish green eye colors, light pink lips and a subtle rosy blush.
For the nighttime look, Danny textured the hair with the aid of the OSIS Stick-Up Wax Stick and Silhouette Super Hold Hairspray. He matched this with darker shades of blue and green on the eyes and pink on the lips.
Danny Katalbas will represent the Philippines in the Schwarzkopf Asia Hairdresser Awards in Hong Kong this new year.
