An oatmeal facial, anyone?

-
STYLE S.O.S by Mary H. Prieto, by Tingting Cojuangco and by Lucy Torres-Gomez Dear Mary,

I have a friend who says she uses a facial of oatmeal every week. She really has beautiful skin. Have you heard of this? – Ms. Curious

Oatmeal makes the most effective and inexpensive facial ever. Mix it with about two tablespoons of water until smooth, then apply. Leave on face for about 10 minutes; you’ll see how fresh and radiant your face will look. If your face is extra dry, use milk instead of water. – Mary
Lucy Loves Bench Jeans
Hi Lucy!

I was just wondering where you buy your jeans coz they really look good on you. I really love wearing jeans, but I want those like yours. – Rianne

Locally, I only wear Bench. I load up on the Bench Overhauled denim line because its fit is very flattering (I’m partial to the low-rise style with a straight, semi-flare or boot-cut leg) plus there are many washes and colors to choose from. For imported brands, I go for Earl, Seven and Citizens of Humanity – still in the low-rise style. – Lucy
Looking For A Unique Gift For A Boyfriend
Dear Tingting

After a long time, I’m now in a new relationship. Christmas is fast approaching and I’m in a dilemma as to what to give my boyfriend. I want to give him something unique and memorable as this is our first Christmas together. But I also wouldn’t want it to be so expensive as it would be difficult to top it on succeeding occasions. If I give him something to wear, what colors can you suggest for someone who is not so tall, is on the heavy side and dark complexioned? I’d really appreciate your reply the soonest possible time. – Anna

Too bad I got your letter too late. But whether it’s for Christmas, Valentine’s Day, your boyfriend’s birthday or any other special occasion, if you’re giving him something to wear, I’d recommend a T-shirt in a light color. Light colors like white, light blue, light pink, light peach and light yellow would be fine. Choose one with vertical lines to make him thinner-looking, too. A white T-shirt paired with something dark blue or light blue would make him look boyish. Handkerchiefs with embroidered initials would be nice, too. – Tingting
Anklet Dilemma
Dear Mary,

I have been wearing an anklet for several years now and my daughter says it’s time to remove it. I’m 61. – Hip Grandma

I think you’re daughter is right. Transfer your anklet to your arm, it’ll look better there. – Mary
