Lucy Gomezs secrets to a blemish-free complexion

Dear Lucy,
Im a fan of yours and I really admire your flawless complexion and beauty. Can you share some of your beauty secrets with me? I have fair complexion but lately, I noticed small, dark spots appearing on my face. I tried using a dark spot corrector for freckles, but nothing happened. Do I have to undergo expensive laser treatment and go to a dermatologist regularly so I can also have smooth, flawless complexion like yours?

Welcome to the club! Because we are fair-complexioned, we really have to make an extra effort to care for our skin because every little spot, every little blemish will show. Ive been using a sunblock daily for almost three weeks now, and I find that it really does make a lot of difference. Before, I would only apply some if I had to stay outdoors for long periods of time, but I read somewhere that even a short trip from your doorstep to the car or sitting by a window with the sun shining through the glass pane is enough to activate freckles.
There are a lot of whitening products out there that promise to get rid of dark spots, but one that really works for me is LOreal. I particularly like its Line Eraser Pure Retinol that comes in two tubes- one for day and one for night. The day cream already comes with SPF 15 although for longer sun exposure, I supplement it with another product that has higher SPF. It really does wonders for the skin.
I had a stubborn freckle that refused to go away, but it finally faded with the LOreal White Perfect Triple Whitening Spot Corrector. I would apply it on the dark spot on top of the LOreal Line Eraser night cream that I use.
When my skin breaks out, I rely only on two experts: Dr. Sylvia Huang who holds clinic at LPL Condominium, Greenhills and for a deep cleansing oxygen facial, I go to Claudine or Cherry of the Belo Medical Group in Greenhills. Before subjecting your skin to a laser treatment, I suggest you exhaust all other options first that require only the application of topical creams.

Dear Lucy,
I always read Style SOS in The Philippine Star and its really a big help. I hope you can help me with my problem. I used to shave my underarm hair and youre right, the hair easily grows back. I want to do the wax but dont know where to get it. Please help me!

Most beauty parlor operators will tell you that they get the wax and the heating contraption that goes with it from the States.
