MANILA, Philippines — Last March 9, in celebration of Barbie’s 60th anniversary, Richprime Global Inc., the leading distributor of branded children’s products and Barbie in the Philippines, recognized nine inspiring Filipino women with achievements in the Philippines for serving as an inspiration to young girls through excellence and accomplishments in their chosen fields. The event, held at The Block Atrium of SM North Edsa in Quezon City, emphasized the campaign “You can be anything,” which focuses on empowering and encouraging young girls to aim high.

“Barbie is an icon that represents little girls who would like to become somebody someday. It’s a timeless women’s dream. This is the only doll that represents the lifestyle of the woman,” said Richprime Global Inc. president Myrna Yao. “Be yourself, trust in God, work hard and be creative,” she said in her message to young girls present at the venue.
