MANILA, Philippines — City of Dreams Manila officially kicked off its Yuletide festivities last Nov. 12 with “Light Me Up,” a spectacular and synchronized holiday lights and sounds show as it held a unique lighting ceremony of its towering 32-foot Christmas tree that now greets guests at the resort’s main entrance.
The tree, following the Winter Wonderland-inspired decor, glistens with white ornaments, and glimmering lights as soaring ice crystals, snowmen, small Christmas trees, and a life-sized Santa’s sleigh with reindeer surround it.
Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez and wife Janet, Belle Corp. chairman of the executive committee Willy Ocier and City of Dreams Manila COO Kevin Benning led the lighting ceremony. Joining them were beauty queens Ms. Eco International 2018 Cynthia Tomalla and Ms. World 2018 First Princess Chanel Morales.
