MANILA, Philippines — While he was recognized for his immense contributions to the academic, political and cultural life of this country, it was the late Senator Edgardo Angara’s contribution on the cultural stage that was celebrated at a posthumous musical tribute at the main theatre of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) with the presence of the Angara family, members of the diplomatic corps, government officials and friends from the academic and legal professions.

Senator Angara was, until his untimely passing, chairman of the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra Society Inc. (PPOSI), an organization he founded in 1985 that takes care of the welfare of the members of the PPO. Today, a new team helms the organization, with Nedy Tantoco, Nestor Jardin, Danny Dolor, Margie Moran Floirendo and Atty. Lila Aquino on the board.
