Bringing mentorship closer to Filipinos
MANILA, Philippines — More than 500 aspiring and existing micro and small entrepreneurs registered for the first and biggest one-on-one negosyo mentoring session – Negosyo’s Mentor Me on Wheels (MMOW). Officially launched at the Music Hall, SM Mall of Asia last May 11, MMOW is one of the programs of Go Negosyo to achieve the battlecry of Pilipinas Angat Lahat! The free event also welcomed walk-in attendees.
Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez joins the launch of the first and biggest one-on-one mentoring session. Claverene Ramos from Lobo, Batangas was lucky to receive mentorship from Sec. Lopez.
Following the successes of the Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) program and Kapatid Agri Mentor ME Program (KAMMP), the project is an effort to further expand Go Negosyo’s program reach nationwide, especially aspiring and underserved entrepreneurs from different areas. The program also provides an avenue for capacity-building to help realize President Duterte’s goal of building an inclusive economy where prosperity is felt by all Filipinos.
Active mentors from the KMME and KAMMP all volunteered their time and effort to share their knowledge, expertise and business tips to the mentees.
Attendees experienced a 30-minute one-on-one mentoring from the pool of 80 successful Go Negosyo mentors that included Department of Trade and Industry Secretary Ramon Lopez and Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship and Go Negosyo founder Joey Concepcion.
