MANILA, Philippines - The evening truly lived up to its title: Maysa a Rabii nga Napekpek ti Ragsak (Isang Gabing Puno ng Kasiyahan) where the country’s oldest distillery launched not just one but three new, Ilocos-inspired products under their Philippine Craft Spirits line held at Ilocos Sur Vice Governer DV Savellano’s Quezon City restaurant, Victorino’s. Guests were treated to an authentic Ilocos Region-inspired dinner prepared by chef Heny Sison and Queenie Paras of Victorino’s – classic Ilocano dishes such as sinuglaw, bagnet, pinakbet salad and featured dishes that would’ve sounded funny had they been translated to Tagalog: poqui poqui, utong, kabatiti among others.

Carlos Celdran welcomed everyone to an evening that celebrates the Ilocos Region. Ilocos Sur Vice Governor DV Savellano introduced the Vigan Basi (Philippine sugarcane wine). Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos followed with the introduction of the Dragon Fire Dragon Fruit Wine and the unique Imeldifique Cooking Wine while Olivia Limpe-Aw, president of Destileira Limtuaco, discussed the collaboration.

Guests were treated to free-flowing Vigan Basi and Dragon Fire Dragon Fruit Wine the entire night, making sure that it was in fact Maysa a Rabii nga Napekpek ti Ragsak.
