Most precious of presents
MANILA, Philippines – “The Precious Present”, a book by Spencer Johnson, gave Jun Jun Ablaza a deeper sense of happiness and fulfillment both in his personal and professional life. This became the inspiration for this year’s ABLAZABLAZE 2015: “Precious Presents”.
The annual exhibit is a celebration of Ablaza's life and work on his birthday, Oct. 24, with the assistance of close friends, namely fashion designer Michele Sison, publicist Tedrick Yau and production director Jett Carpio.
The 2015 exhibit was once more a grand occasion that took months to conceptualize, finalize and execute. Exhibited images capture the essence of Ablaza’s majestic and extraordinary ideas using standout pieces from his creations. International photographer Filbert Kung and celebrity stylist Roko Arceo, with shoot coordination by Trixie Orobia, spearheaded the black-and-white look. They created the concept that sparked diverse themes that other invited collaborators worked with. The various elements in the images symbolized his gift design and creativity – one of the many precious presents he valued most.
Living in the present gives Ablaza tranquility. After fully appreciating the many joys in his life, he is able to stimulate a clear creative process, vanishing whatever angst may come in the future. His precious presents are also the sundry and abundant blessings brought about by his current state of happiness. Surrounded by family, friends and his unique creations, he is driven to create and share, care and love, as he continues to dream and imagine a myriad of artwear and art-cessories for his collections, and magnificent table scapes and event styling for entertaining.
With the intention of sharing his blessings with more individuals, Ablaza and Viking Range kitchen equipment managed to raise funds for an outreach activity that will benefit underprivileged children undergoing chemotherapy at the UP-PGH Children’s Cancer Ward.
