Manila Hotel’s Fiesta Pavilion: An icon reimaged
MANILA, Philippines - Over the past year, The Manila Hotel has intricately transformed its grand ballroom, the Fiesta Pavilion, into a luxurious realm, adding more flexibility and more functionality in response to the increasing demand for smarter spaces as the capital city prepares to host global events.
“To date, the Fiesta Pavilion has a total renovated space of 1,522.79sqm and can now accommodate 1,300 people for a sit-down dinner or buffet and 1,800 people for cocktails, making it the premier choice for business conferences as well as social functions,” said Dr. Enrique Yap Jr., EVP of The Manila Hotel.
The much-awaited luxurious transformation of the Fiesta Pavilion reaffirms the Grand Dame’s reputation as the perfect destination for meetings, conventions and intimate affairs. The newly renovated event space is equipped with cutting-edge lighting fixtures and an updated theater-like setup that features an artfully lit ceiling and wall panels that adapt to the mood and nature of the event.
Gerhard Doll, resident manager of the hotel, welcomed guests while hotel president lawyer Jose Lina Jr. and the board of directors led a ceremonial toasting to mark the celebration. Hotel chairman Basilio Yap officially unveiled the new Fiesta Pavilion with a light and sound show featuring the ballroom’s state-of the-art ceiling and lighting fixtures that showcase seamless color-changing LED systems offering intricate light shows. Hosting the event was multi-awarded broadcast and print journalist David Celdran.
“Truly, the opening of the new Fiesta Pavilion of the Grand Dame marks another triumph in this gracious white and green stucco building where Manila’s heart, its dreams, romance and history live within its walls,” said Nian Liwanag-Rigor, AVP for public relations and corporate communications. Positioned as the true heart of the Philippines, The Manila Hotel is the country’s premier five-star and flagship hotel. It is located at One Rizal Park, Manila.
