Metrobank Foundation awards future Art and Design Masters
MANILA, Philippines - Winners of the 2014 Metrobank Art & Design Excellence (MADE) National Competition in Painting, Sculpture, Interior Design and Architecture were recognized in an awarding ceremony held last September at the Le Pavillon, Pasay City. British Ambassador Asif Ahmad (center) and Tootsy Angara (third from right) graced the event as guests of honor. This year’s winners were presented by Dr. George S.K. Ty, founder and chairman, Metrobank Group (center); Dr. Antonio S. Abacan, Jr., vice chairman, Metrobank Group (first from left); Francisco Sebastian, vice chairman, Metrobank (second from left); Alfred Ty, president, Federal Land (second from right); Fabian Dee, president, Metrobank (first from right); and Aniceto Sobrepeña, president, MBFI (third from left). Now on its 30th year, MADE is the pioneering art and design competition of the Metrobank Foundation established in 1984. It has expanded its programs to include art lectures, public exhibitions and art psychosocial interventions.
