French National Day

MANILA, Philippines - Last July 14, French Ambassador Gilles Garachon welcomed Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario, guests from the political, economic, university and cultural sectors, the diplomatic corps and the media to the French ? Embassy?  residence in celebration of the French National Day.

During the evening’s reception, Ambassador Garachon took the opportunity to announce the visit of President Benigno Aquino III to France in September, which is expected to be another landmark in French-Philippine diplomatic relations.

Ambassador Garachon also recalled the values that both France and the Philippines share: the values of liberty, equality, and brotherhood, on which the French Revolution and the EDSA People Power Revolution were both founded.
