MANILA, Philippines - Makati Shangri-La Manila’s premier Chinese restaurant, Shang Palace, was the main venue for the recently concluded Hennessy X.O Gourmet Dinner. The evening also proved to be a memorable one with the launching of Shang Palace’s new Executive Chinese Chef, Richard Thong.
Singapore-based chef Richard Thong now finds himself at the helm of Shang Palace as he brings his culinary Asian flair to the restaurant. Chef Richard has over 20 years of experience in the culinary field, priding himself with the fact that he has headed the Chinese kitchens in prestigious hotels and restaurant establishments in Singapore for over a decade. He was part of the opening team for the famed Marina Bay Sands in Singapore before moving to Makati Shangri-La in Manila. A deep passion for food and flawless service makes Chef Richard thrive in the high-pressure environment of the kitchen.
