MANILA, Philippines - Edsa Shangri-La, Manila hosted an intimate degustation dinner to launch its new chef de cuisine, Roberto Cimmino. Ambassador Luca and Madame Silvana Fornari were the special guests of honor.
Chef Robby prepared a five-course meal, excerpted from his new a la carte menu offerings, with wine pairings from Titania Wines. At only 25 years, Chef Cimmino has gained extensive work experience in his native Italy and in China before his assignment in the Philippines. “My style of cuisine is simple sophistication,” said Chef Cimmino. “I deconstruct the dish to show the ingredients in their purest form in order to elevate the gustative experience.”
