Johnny's 75th at Dusit Thani

MANILA, Philippines - More than 40 years into the business of hosting (from late-night talk shows then to grand PR events now), Johnny Litton is still at it. But on the night of his 75th birthday celebration held at the grand ballroom of the Dusit Thani Manila hotel, the perennially bespectacled society columnist revealed a side unbeknown to the public – that of being a loving father. Johnny chose his natal day to formally launch a foundation he put up in the name of his eldest son, the late Ernest John or “EJ”, who passed away in 2007 after battling cancer for two and a half years. The E. J. Litton Foundation, Inc. aims to help educate impoverished children as well as those afflicted with cancer and cannot afford treatment – two advocacies very close to his EJ’s heart.
