Lamudi gears up for The Outlook 2018
MANILA, Philippines — For the second year, top Philippine real estate portal Lamudi is once again hosting The Outlook. Slated on November 15 at Makati Shangri-La, the gala that celebrates the esteemed real estate developers and projects that made the biggest impact in the local real estate industry in the past year. The awardees will be decided by a panel of judges and a survey participation of 10,000 property seekers.
Lamudi is leading the shift of property discovery from traditional to digital with technology and data. Through the results of The Outlook, the company aims to help developers understand the needs and wants of Filipino property seekers to better serve them in an increasingly competitive and demanding real estate market.
The selection process
Nominations for The Outlook 2018 officially kicked off May this year and ended in June. Real estate developers nominated their most notable projects under various categories. All nominated projects underwent an initial screening by a reputable panel of judges.
The shortlisted projects were then put to the test via a nationwide survey of 10,000 property seekers. Survey respondents were classified based on their search interests to ensure accuracy and relevance of the answers to each category.
Bhavna Suresh, chief executive officer of Lamudi, explained that this survey process was designed to truly reflect the pulse of the property seekers.
“We feel that as potential buyers, property seekers have done their research on their wants and needs as they narrow down their options. Hence, they deserve the right to weigh in on which properties or developers deserve which recognition,” Suresh said.

A total of 18 awards will be given during the gala to winning real estate developers and projects.
Luzon categories:
- Best Affordable Condo of the Year 2018
- Best Premium Condo of the Year 2018
- Best Luxe Condo of the Year 2018
- Best Affordable House of the Year 2018
- Best Premium House of the Year 2018
- Best Mixed-Use Developer of the Year 2018
Visayas and Mindanao categories:
- Best Affordable Condo of the Year 2018
- Best Premium Condo of the Year 2018
- Best House of the Year 2018
- Best Mixed-Use Developer of the Year 2018
The Grand Awards:
Commercial:
- Best Shared Office Space of the Year 2018
Best Developer:
- Best Developer of the Year 2018—Luzon
- Best Developer of the Year 2018—Visayas and Mindanao
- Best Boutique Developer of the Year 2018—Luzon
- Best Boutique Developer of the Year 2018—Visayas and Mindanao
Special Awards:
- Best Green Project of the Year 2018
- Philippine Daily Inquirer Property—Best Innovation Project of the Year 2018
Personality of the Year:
- Personality of the Year 2018
The winners of the Condominium, House and Mixed-Use award categories will be chosen through The Outlook Survey. On the other hand, the judges will determine the Special awards and Personality of the Year.
The gala night
To follow the success of last year’s The Outlook, the company is set to gather the industry’s most outstanding property developers for another night of felicitation.
Kian Moini, chief executive officer of Lamudi Global, will formally open the black-tie gala.
Apart from the awarding ceremony, The Outlook will also serve as an opportunity for discussion and knowledge sharing, with Philippine Ambassador to China Jose Santiago Sta. Romana set to deliver the keynote speech. He will explore the Philippine-China relations by putting the spotlight on the prospects and perspectives between the two countries and what is in store for the Philippine real estate sector.
The presentation of awards will be divided by region, with the Special Awards and Personality of the Year coming in last. Lamudi’s CEO Bhavna Suresh will deliver the closing remarks to officially cap the night off.
