The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Delta Air Lines today announced that Patricia Celis has been appointed to the position of country manager–Philippines sales and affairs.

Celis will focus on leveraging strategic opportunities to improve the airline’s competitive position in this important market.  She will have responsibility for managing overall sales activities, administration and industry affairs in the market.

“Delta has proudly served the Philippines for over 65 years,” said Vinay Dube, Delta’s senior vice president-Asia Pacific. “Appointing a talented local leader is consistent with Delta’s continued long-term commitment to the Philippines. We are confident that Patricia will further grow Delta’s presence in the market.”

Celis started her career in the airline industry in 1997 as marketing support for American Airlines in the Philippines. She joined Northwest Airlines in 2003 as a sales and marketing manager for the Philippines.

Since the merger with Delta in 2008, she has had increasing responsibility, including overseeing the Guam sales team. She also successfully supported Delta’s expansion of a new nonstop service in Sydney, including closely working with Delta’s joint partner Virgin Australia to enhance product awareness in Australia. Most recently she oversaw Philippines, Australia and Micronesia as a sales and marketing manager.

Celis holds an MBA degree from Ateneo De Manila University in the Philippines. She received her bachelor degree in Legal Management from the same university.
