MANILA, Philippines - Like a lot of businesses, Yosi Samra’s company was born in his own basement. The plan was to launch yosisamra.com and nothing more, but Yosi Samra has grown exponentially. “To this day it’s really been an organic growth. I haven’t advertised. It’s been word of mouth, girls trying on the shoes and telling other girls about them.”
Yosi Samra’s target market is women on the go. While Yosi Samra shoes can be found in many high-end shops in the US, the brand is stylish without breaking the bank. For last spring’s collection, they decided to use Alsina leather from Argentina, for added comfort. Like a true businessman, Samra believes that offering their customers value products should be their number one goal.
Since 2011, starting with three stores in Asia, Yosi Samra now has 21 outlets throughout the region, including GAS Greenbelt 3, TriNoma, Alabang Town Center, SM Aura Premier, Glorietta 4, SM Megamall Fashion Hall, SM Mall of Asia. They also recently opened branches at SM City Cebu, Ayala Center Cebu, SM City Bacolod, Abreeza Mall Davao, and Centrio Mall in Cagayan de Oro and soon in SM Iloilo.
