MANILA, Philippines - Kids and the kids at heart learned the importance of recycling during Passionfest 2013 at the Tetra Pak booth in Bonifacio Global City.
In collaboration with its customer Tropicana Coco Quench, Tetra Pak spearheaded a series of activities centered on food safety and environmental protection.
An eco-caravan featured Tetra Pak cartons that have been recycled to notebooks, notepads, paper bags, boxes, among others. Carton-craft activities, meanwhile, allowed kids to make Christmas decorations out of Tetra Pak cartons. Other activities included piecing together a puzzle that teaches about recycling, as well as a basketball shooting challenge that promotes drinking milk for stronger bones.
Tetra Pak also held a carton recycling demonstration. Dubbed “3Fs,†which stands for Flip, Flap, Flat,
the process starts with removing the drinking straw from the carton; flipping open the top side flaps of the carton; flipping open the bottom flap; then flattening the carton before putting it in the Tetra Pack recycling bin at BGC High Street.
The two-day event was part of Tetra Pak’s efforts to protect the environment by encouraging families to engage in eco-friendly activities such as recycling even in their own homes.
Through its innovative food and beverage packaging solutions and its goal of educating consumers on the importance of recycling and caring for the environment, Tetra Pak remains true to its motto “Protects What’s Good.â€
