MANILA, Philippines - People made the “S” sign all throughout Suki Day, a celebration of successful partnerships between independent grocers and Suy Sing, the leading one-stop grocery wholesaler in the country.

Launched last June 30 at the World Trade Center, Suy Sing’s latest campaign, â€œThe S Factor,” puts the spotlight on the grocers and their hard work. Suy Sing recognized these entrepreneurs as the biggest stars of their trade.

The “S Factor” pertains to a grocer’s unquenchable thirst for reaching success. Suki Day was Suy Sing’s way of thanking their patrons, called “Ka-Suy Sings,” for being a huge part of the company’s success.

“Suki Day is all about you,” said Suy Sing general manager Christina Tan. “This is the day we celebrate more than 60 years of fruitful partnership with many of you. We continue to place a premium on building long-lasting relationships with each one of you. And we have never wavered in our goal of being an instrument of your â€˜smooth success,’ the direct translation of our name Suy Sing.”

Celebrity hosts Luis Manzano and Nikki Gil led part of the festivities, featuring a performance by Gary Valenciano to end the celebrations.

Offering high tech and responsive customer needs management systems, Suy Sing helps independent grocers reach success by giving them access to the right assortment of goods. From small corner stores to modest groceries to ever-growing mini-marts, Suy Sing works hard to better its service to accommodate more and more grocers, with over six decades’ worth of grocer-friendly wholesaler expertise.

Chris Po, president of Century Pacific Group of Companies said, “They’re very professional, very efficient. They’ve adopted multinational systems, and through their efficiency, they’re able to translate that and pass that on to their customers.” In all interviews with Suy Sing’s trade partners, everyone seems to regard the company’s business model as a commendable feat in the local fast-moving consumer goods industry.

John Martin Miller, chairman and CEO of Nestle Philippines, Inc., called Suy Sing’s ability to deliver within 24 hours a remarkable world-class achievement. “The great thing about Suy Sing is that they continue to innovate,” Miller said. “Their telephone ordering system is something which is truly unique, and I think in any market there is a role for every kind of multiple as long as all of the players are constantly innovating and making themselves relevant. That’s something true of Suy Sing.”

Being in the market for more than 67 years, Suy Sing is the leading grocery distribution company in the Philippines, offering the most extensive range of saleable wholesale products at everyday low prices.
