The Coffee Bean is about warming hearts and providing shelter

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Even the smallest actions contribute to bigger things. Just as how every aspect of building a house — every ounce of sweat and muscle involved — helps form a part of a community where people can live with ease.

As part of its thrust toward building relationships that matter, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has partnered with Habitat for Humanity to help bring decent, innovative and sustainable housing solutions to uplift the Filipino family.

“Providing people with basic food, a roof over their head, giving them security, somewhere to stay — these intentions are really something that’s very close to our hearts,” shares Paolo del Rosario, VP for Marketing of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Philippines in the recent launch of their partnership with Habitat for Humanity last Nov. 7 at the The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s 26th Bistro, the brand’s latest foray in casual dining, located at Bonifacio Global City.

To help with Habitat’s cause to dramatically reduce our country’s housing deficit, the coffee brand known for serving beverages that soothe the soul and warm the heart pledged to contribute to Habitat for Humanity’s iBuild platform by helping them raise P5 million over the next four years.

“For us it wasn’t just about cutting a check and donating it to Habitat. It was more like a desire to come up with ways where we can share Habitat’s mission to our customers. We now have 50 stores around the Philippines, more by the end of the year. And we felt it was high time for us to do our part and help,” del Rosario adds.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf aims to raise P1.3 million by the end of the year through their latest project involving the iBuild Puzzle.

Priced at P100, iBuild Puzzle Pieces are tokens customers can purchase at any Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf store nationwide. Stick the puzzle pieces on designated puzzle boards found at each store. Proceeds gathered from these puzzles will go directly to the building of houses in various Habitat For Humanity sites across the country.
