MANILA, Philippines - Multi-titled PBA and national team basketball coach Vincent “Chot” Reyes discussed the principles of a winning team in an educational afternoon with stalwarts of the Bacolod City business scene in the recently concluded Plantersbank SME Speaker Series held at the Bacolod Business Inn.
Reyes, who led the Philippine team in winning the recent 2012 Jones Cup in Taiwan, presented fresh insights to help SMEs integrate winning plans into their businesses. Drawing from his extensive experience as head coach of various basketball teams, his knowledge in corporate coaching, as well as his own experience as an entrepreneur, Reyes presented insights on strengthening a business through effective leadership and teamwork. “Business, like basketball, hits on the same principles of choosing the right people and forming a strong team to achieve goals,” according to Reyes. He adds that businessmen should be consistent in promoting teamwork and in giving workers a good reason to believe in the team.
