Duty Free Phils. COO elected Aptra board member

MANILA, Philippines - Duty Free Philippines chief operating officer and Philippine Retailers Association board director Lorenzo “Enchong” Formoso was recently elected (among 19 other candidates) as one of the newest members of the board of directors of the prestigious Asia Pacific Travel Retail Association (APTRA) in its annual general meeting during the Tax Free World Association Asia Pacific & Gate One2One event in Singapore last May 16. APTRA is an association composed of travel retailers, suppliers and airport operators in the Asia-Pacific region with around 80 member companies. Formoso is the first Filipino to be elected in the APTRA board since its inception. In photo are Sunil Tuli, APTRA president, congratulating Formoso after his election. Formoso, a stalwart in the travel retail industry, having been in the business for the past 25 years, said in his introductory speech that he will put “more fun” in the association — in reference to the country’s new “It’s More Fun in the Philippines” tourism campaign.
