MANILA, Philippines - The Internet has become a natural part of our daily lives, enabling interactions and flow of information that had never been experienced or imagined over a decade ago. We have come to expect and rely on easily accessible information at our fingertips, for work or school, home or recreation, and for business deals and financial matters.
As Internet banking has become quite popular and useful for many people, Equicom Savings Bank (EqB) readily provides this convenience to its customers via Equicom’s Internet Banking Service. Enrolled clients need not leave the convenience of their homes or offices for real-time balance inquiry and for viewing of their statements of accounts. With all sorts of personal gadgets having Internet browsing capability, EqB Internet banking can now be accessed anywhere and anytime the customer wants it.
“Equicom Online is open to those with EqB deposit accounts and holders of all types of Equicom cards,” says senior vice president Elizabeth Coronel. “This service has real-time, month-to-date statements. Clients can view specific periods within the past 12 months or any period up to 90 days within the past 12 months. Here, they can verify their account balances and all their transactions real-time, that is, within minutes of even their most recent approved transactions.” With Equicom Online Statement Viewing, clients can also view the front and back images of issued checks from their checking accounts and detailed reports for selected auto-credit transactions.
Some of the added conveniences in Equicom Internet Banking include Quick Inquiry, which can be used to inquire on balances of EqB prepaid cards, gift cards, and rewards cards even without enrollment; and Bancnet Online, which lets Equicom debit cardholders (ATM and/or prepaid) perform ATM-like non-cash transactions via Internet banking. Readily available BancnetOnline transactions without enrollment are balance inquiry, checkbook request, fund transfer across current and savings accounts linked to the ATM card, and Bills Payment to over 50 biller institutions. Meanwhile, inter-bank fund transfer to accounts in other Bancnet member banks is also available but requires pre-enrollment at any EqB branch. Personal and corporate Internet banking services may be accessed via the client’s enrolled user name and password. Quick Inquiry, on the other hand, only requires the card number for prepaid, gift, and rewards cards, and Bancnet Online requires the card number and PIN to process transactions for all types of cards. Equicom’s Internet banking transactions are free of charge except for inter-bank funds transfer.
Complementing EqB’s online banking service with convenient banking on the go is Equicom Mobile Banking via 0918-818-EQUI(3784). This service lets clients access important mobile transactions at their fingertips: whenever, wherever. Mobile banking transactions include: real-time balance inquiry for accounts or cards; quick balance inquiry for prepaid, gift, and rewards cards; viewing of the last five transactions for deposit accounts; fund transfer across the client’s own accounts; Equicom Cash Card loading and payment for Equicom Credit Card from the client’s deposit accounts. All transactions, except for Quick Inquiry, need to be enrolled at an Equicom Savings Bank branch.
Clients may access Internet banking through the Equicom Savings Bank website www.equicomsavings.com. Individual depositors and cardholders may enroll online and also view enrollment status online, while Corporate clients may submit the application form and requirements at their Equicom Savings Bank branch of account. Enrollment forms are downloadable from the website.
