MANILA, Philippines - Strategic Works, Inc. (Stratworks), one of the country’s leading independent marketing communications agencies, took home 10 trophies at the prestigious Philippine Quill Awards 2011 presented by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Together with its clients, Stratworks was the most awarded agency this year with three excellence awards, three merit awards and four finalist trophies.
Stratworks received three awards for initiatives with Jollibee, the country’s number-one fast-food chain, including awards of excellence for the widely successful “Jollibee Yumbassadors” campaign that promoted pride among Filipino youth and the 16th “Maaga ang Pasko” campaign, the country’s longest-running annual toy and book collection drive that has mobilized an even greater number of Jolly Toy Scouts nationwide to collect donations for the benefit of less-fortunate children during Christmas. It also garnered an award of merit for Jollibee’s “700th Store Celebration: Reaching Greater Heights.”
IABC also recognized the agency with both an excellence and a merit award under the communications management division for Unilever Food Solution’s trailblazing “Sooo Pinoy!” campaign. Aimed at creating a renewed appreciation for Filipino cuisine, the campaign was cited for successfully engaging the support of the media, Pinoy foodies and consumers all over the country to promote the Philippine’s top dishes and restaurants.
An advocacy campaign with HP also won three trophies, including a merit award and two finalist trophies. The “NO to Fakes, KNOW the Original!” campaign was lauded for its innovative efforts in educating the public on the existence and the harmful effects of counterfeit products, with awards for its launch exhibit at TriNoma Mall, PR campaign and launch event.
Stratworks also received a finalist award together with Unilever Philippines for its “CIF: Philippines’ Shining Moment” project that restored the EDSA Shrine and People Power Monument to its former glory, and another finalist trophy with Universal Robina Corporation’s (URC) Flour Division for the “Arriba Arina! URC Flour 40th Year Dealer’s Night” special event held in recognition of its partners.
The agency has been consistently receiving awards for its work with some of the country’s top corporations. In just the past five years, Stratworks has won a total of 50 awards from the IABC, the Public Relations Society of the Philippines and the University of Asia and the Pacific.
