MANILA, Philippines - Centris Walk, the newest dining and lifestyle oasis located on EDSA corner Quezon Avenue, was the venue of an event dubbed “Playboy Philippines Welcomes the Year of the Rabbit.” Prominent businessmen, entrepreneurs, young professionals, members of the Filipino-Chinese community, residents of Quezon City and nearby areas and Playboy fans celebrated the occasion in the spirit of traditionally welcoming each year with a bang to attract good fortune and prosperity. Playboy magazine staged the event in cooperation with Centris Walk.
The quintessential dragon dance started the event while jugglers, jesters and stilt walkers, upbeat music, good food and beautiful girls enhanced the festive mood. Those who earlier bought copies of Playboy magazine had the chance to have their picture taken with beautiful Playboy bunnies.
Alluring Playboy Playmates kept the party sizzling and enlivened the show. Dancers from the University of Manila got the audience on their feet with a hip-hop number. A young yo-yo master did his moves while a magician and circus duo performed card tricks, juggling acts, and other spectacular stunts.
After Boracay fire poi dancers, a lantern parade and the traditional New Year countdown to midnight, a grand fireworks display lit up the sky.
Playboy Philippines’ party was only one of the events lined up at Centris Walk. Aside from the Sidcor weekend market (held every Sunday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.), it houses some of the country’s most popular restaurants and leisure stores. The vibrant dining and entertainment strip promotes an alfresco lifestyle with more outdoor activities. Its modern canopies called Constellations light up in different soft colors and serve as a stylish backdrop for special events.
“We welcome interested companies, organizations and individuals who would like to use Eton Centris Walk as a venue for their product launches, mini concerts and similar activities,” said Anton Hechanova , Eton VP for Commercial Centers. “Our direct access to the MRT Quezon Avenue station provides accessibility and convenience to the public, which is a plus factor for social and corporate activities. There are ample parking spaces in the area, too.”
