RLC builds first full-service shopping mall in Calasiao
MANILA, Philippines - Property developer Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) is now constructing its first full-service mall in Calasiao, Pangasinan. It is strategically located along major roads: Mc Arthur Highway, Mayombo Road and De Venecia Highway where other commercial establishments are located. Completion is expected by third quarter of 2011.
The project sits on a 60,000-sq.m. lot where the shopping mall will be built. “The mall will provide convenient access for pedestrians via its main central landscape and provide a dedicated vehicular access. There will also be parking areas and drop-off points with canopies within the building’s periphery to allow easy access to the mall,” says Lourdes T. Alano, RLC-Commercial Centers Division VP for lease.
The mall façade features a curved-shaped crown detail used as main accent together with creatively placed glass window. The shopping center interiors have a distinctive contrasting play of geometric shapes and straight lines. Present are large atriums and a main atrium that provide a relaxing ambience for shoppers.
“The anchor tenants Robinsons Department Store and Robinsons Supermarket , and small retail areas, will be located at the ground floor,” adds Alano. There will be wide and spacious main corridors with kiosks, providing a wide variety of retail outlets while the second floor level houses Robinsons Department Store, Robinsons Appliance, Handyman and a food court. This is also where the Robinsons Movieworld will be located. “We will be operating the first 3D cinema in the region. Now locals and other residents from nearby Dagupan, San Carlos and Alaminos will enjoy total cinematic experience.”
Robinsons Place Calasiao also has environmental features. Large hallways and generous floor heights give more air space and natural daylight. A sewage treatment plant for proper discharge of waste water or reuse back into the environment will also be built.
