MANILA, Philippines - Etihad Airways, the national airlines of the United Arab Emirates and the first airline with fully flat business-class seats to fly out of Manila, has been awarded the prestigious title of “World’s Leading Airline” for a second consecutive year at the World Travel Awards (WTA). The top airline WTA, the ultimate recognition in the travel industry, was presented to Peter Baumgartner, Etihad’s chief commercial officer (left), at a gala event in London. With Baumgartner are Graham Cooke, president and founder, WTA, and Etihad cabin crewmembers. The Abu Dhabi-based airline was also named “World’s Leading First Class” airline for the third year in a row.
