Splash acquires new brand

-

MANILA, Philippines - Splash Corporation, one of the country’s top personal care, beauty and wellness products companies, has announced its acquisition of the Hygienix brand from retail company HBC Inc. According to Eric Domagas, president of Splash Corporation, the move to acquire the Hygienix brand is in line with the company’s strategy of venturing into new frontiers and aggressively pursuing opportunities in product categories that the company is in a prime position to dominate.

“As we celebrate Splash’s 25th year,” said Domagas, “we are setting our sights on breaking new ground — not only in terms of expanding in markets outside the Philippines, but also in terms of introducing innovative and industry-setting products. We are inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit that fueled Splash’s growth in the past quarter century. At the same time, however, we are motivated by the exciting business opportunities brought about by a more sophisticated and demanding market and the opening of doors in the global arena. We at Splash are determined to push forward and break barriers, and we’ve got an experienced team on board to make this happen.”

Originally owned by HBC and sold exclusively in HBC stores, Hygienix is an anti-bacterial/germicidal line of products. It has enjoyed brisk sales in HBC over the past few years, and Splash believes that the time is ripe to re-introduce Hygienix and bring it to the next level by distributing it in all other retail outlets.

Hygienix is one of many products that were developed in the Splash Research Institute or SRI. SRI is the world-class research facility established by Splash in 1997. It has state-of-the-art facilities and equipment and is staffed with highly trained specialists, chemists, pharmacists and engineers who are experts at developing revolutionary personal care, beauty, wellness, and health products.

“We truly believe that Hygienix is a breakthrough product — a complete anti-bacterial line,” said Domagas. “We’re very confident that the market will respond positively to the products and benefits that Hygienix will offer.  From a business standpoint, we’re quite certain that the brand will be a major contributor to our top-line performance in the coming years.”

Hygienix is now available in select supermarkets and convenience stores.
