Summit Learning Center has first Harvard-format auditorium

MANILA, Philippines - Tagaytay is known not only as a nearby summer destination but has also become the setting for many a corporate event. From national assemblies to regional conferences, from company-wide out-of-town trips to departmental strategic planning sessions, more and more corporations are choosing Tagaytay because of the city’s convenient location.

Summit Learning Center, within the Summit Ridge hotel complex, is fast becoming the venue of choice for these types of events.

With its theater-style setup, the 425-square-meter function room seats up to 140 persons. It is the first of its kind in Tagaytay and Southern Luzon. A separate structure on its own, it has direct access to the hotel through the outdoor lawn. It has its own reception lobby that can be used as a spacious registration area or a venue for welcome drinks and cocktails. In the lobby there is also a restroom for guests.

Inside the Summit Learning Center there are individual desks with lights for reviewing documents or going over event programs. Each desk also has as an electrical outlet for laptops or charging handheld PDAs. Adding to guest convenience, the hotel provides free Wi-Fi Internet access inside the auditorium.

Aside from being very accommodating to the more tech-savvy crowd, the Summit Learning Center also has everything for successfully staging high-impact presentations. Best-in-class audio-visual facilities include an overhead projector that can flash videos and presentations on a built-in 10.5 x16-foot projector screen, while the projector, lights, and sound can all be managed at the technical control room at the back of the auditorium.
