Fourth PQCCI business conference slated

-

MANILA, Philippines - To start 2010, the Parañaque Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PqCCI), under the leadership of its president, Alex Flores, in partnership with the Parañaque City Government under the administration of Mayor Florencio Bernabe Jr., has scheduled its fourth business conference on Jan. 29 at the Forum Hall of PAGCOR Casino Filipino.

The event is an annual activity where business issues, developments and trends are discussed. Dubbed “Prescriptions for Growth and Survival,” the forum promises to give insights and forecasts on commerce and industry this year. Apart from the business community, the government sector and the academe are encouraged to take part.

“What better way to start the new year but by discussing relevant issues that contribute to the growth of our economy?” said Mayor Jun Bernabe. “With the business sector, we can come up with new strategies towards achieving that goal.” The mayor regards the PqCCI as a valuable partner of the city government in formulating business policies.

Among the topics to be tackled during the conference are “Tourism 2010: Boom or Doom” by Sammie Lim, PCCI vice president; “Tourism Philippines 2010: Shape Up or Ship Out?” by Tony Lopez, publisher/editor in chief of Biznews Asia magazine; “2010 Predictions! Feng Shui Says” by Marites Allen, president, The World of Feng Shui; “Media: Friend or Foe?” by Daniel Razon, president, UNTV 37 and “Green or Grim Revolution” by Von Hernandez, executive director, Greenpeace Southeast Asia.

Inquiries can be made through PqCCI landlines 826-1881 and 820-9853. Interested parties can also visit the PqCCI website at www.pqcci.org.
