MANILA, Philippines - It is exactly in the vastness of the World Wide Web — where information is measured in bytes, where images are pixelized and poking someone is actually considered all right — that we find our own little piece of cyber paradise.
Just like Post-it by 3M’s OC-in-Training (http://www.ocintraining.com) website, which serves as a hub for all who want to learn the secret tools for organizing your workspace, tips on how to reach your goals and effective ways to have peace of mind the OC way.
According to Cecille Loretizo, Post-it brand manager, an OC is an individual who possesses clever organizational and unbelievable de-cluttering skills armed with their to-do lists and daily planners. “OC in Training is a shrine to everything OC,” says Loretizo. “The new, or what we call novice OCs, can find tips and articles to guide them on becoming an über-OC while those that are already are able to connect with other OCs to strengthen the community.”
For newbies, here are easy-to-follow instructions on how to navigate OC-in-Training.
• Know what kind of OC you are. To fully optimize the site it’s important to know your degree of OC-ness first. Take the “What Kind of OC Are You?” quiz to find out which of the three categories you belong to. “There are three categories: the novice, the mid- and über-OC,” says Loretizo. “Depending on which kind you are, OC-in-Training has topics, articles and suggestions to satisfy your OC-ness.”
• Check out other OCs. After taking the quiz, head on to the Featured OCs section to check out other OCs like you. And these are not just any kind of OCs but famous ones at that. “This just proves that there is an OC in all of us,” jests Loretizo. Among the celebrities are Gossip Girl’s resident hottie Chace Crawford, Posh’s hubby David Beckham and Harry Potter sensation Emma Watson.
• Nominate an OC-in-Training. When you already have an idea of the essence of being OC, it’s time for you to nominate. All you need to do is register and you can nominate your friends to be OCs-in-training as well. “If you think your friend is hopeless when it comes to de-cluttering her study area, then nominate her as an OC–in-Training to sort her out, so to speak,” says Loretizo. OC sampler packs filled with Post-it products will be given to participants.
And for the final step, “Open your browsers and go to http://www.ocintraining.com,” ends Loretizo.
