Filipino international photographer holds 'Black Nazarene' exhibit

MANILA, Philippines - A Filipino international photographer is currently holding an exhibit, which features the highlights of his coverage of the Black Nazarene's Traslacion in the previous years.

Ezra Acayan, an editorial photographer based in the Philippines, shared the photographs of powerful moments which he witnessed and captured during the previous Black Nazarene's Traslacion in an exhibit called "Passage."

Passage is running in SM Manila from January 7 to 10 featuring Acayan's photographs which showed the Filipinos' strong devotion to the Black Nazarene.

Aside from documenting the passion of the Black Nazarene devotees during Traslacion or the public veneration, Acayan also covers natural disaster, politics and social issues in the country. His photographs regularly appear in various international media outfits namely: TIMES, National Geographic, The New York Times, Newsweek, The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal, MSNBC, CNN, Sports Illustrated, The Daily Telegraph, Der Spiegel, The Strait Times, The National, Conde Nast Traveler, among many others.
