Joaquin ‘Chino’ Gutierrez holds solo concert at BDO Tower

MANILA, Philippines - Young classical violin virtuoso Joaquin Maria “Chino” Gutierrez  performs in a solo concert on Sept. 12 at San Francisco Hall, BDO Tower 1, Makati Ave. corner H.V. de la Costa St., Salcedo Village, Makati.

Chino began his violin studies at seven under Alfonso “Coke” Bolipata. After two years, Chino won second place at the 1999 National Music Competitions for Young Artist (NAMCYA) grade school division.

After graduating high school at the Philippine Science High School, Chino left for Germany to train under the renowned violin pedagogue Jens Ellermann.

This year, Chino will finish his bachelor of music degree, major in violin performance.
