Alfred Galura at ArtistSpace, Ayala Museum

MANILA, Philippines - To many artists, a solo exhibition marks the pinnacle of one’s artistic journey. It is a validation that their choice to pursue art was the right decision to make.

But for Alfred Galura, one-man shows aren’t milestones. While he is thankful for the opportunity, he would rather be on the trail biking, or behind his desk drafting and painting. To say that he is shy is an understatement. To say that he is blissfully unaware of his own greatness is an accurate statement.

Aware of the master within their midst, L’Arc en Ciel Atelier & Gallery presents Alfred Galura’s “Perfection in Realism,” which opens on Dec. 5 at ArtistSpace, Ayala Museum, Makati City.

Alfred depicts sweeping vistas of the Philippine countryside and captures the delicate symmetry in lace in his works.
