Boston Art Gallery presents simultaneous shows — “Found” by LJ Ablola and “A Beautiful Decay” by Whoop — which are slated from July 26 to Aug. 11 at Boston Art Gallery, 72 Boston St. corner Lantana St., Cubao, QC.

Ablola celebrates different kinds of people, sharing what they discover and experience in life in “Found,” while Whoop depicts different forms of decay — from the natural decay of things to that of our political system — in “A Beautiful Decay.”

Elaine Navas, Robert Langenegger at Finale Art File

Finale Art File presents back-to-back solo shows — “After Sir” by Elaine Navas and “Visual Intervention of the Subconscience” by Robert Langenegger, which are on view until Aug. 2 at Finale Art File, Warehouse 17, La Fuerza, 2241 Chino Roces Ave., Makati City.

In “After Sir,” Navas pays homage to her mentor Roberto Chabet. She paints objects and images from the late artist’s personal archive.

In “Visual Intervention of the Subconscience,” Langenegger showcases a series of oil on canvas works and video installations, conjuring landscapes where random encounters with the phantasmagoric unfold.

Maria Cruz at CCP

Maria Cruz showcases a suite of text-based paintings based on eight out of 17 topics from an advertorial insert in a 1971 issue of Esquire magazine in “Psychology Today,” which opens on July 24 at Bulwagang Fernando Amorsolo (Small Gallery) of the Cultural Center of the Philippines, CCP Complex, Roxas Blvd., Pasay City. The show runs until Aug. 24.

“Psychology Today” is presented by Galleria Duemila and the CCP.

Epjey Pacheco and Ferdz Valencia at Galerie Anna

Epjey Pacheco and Ferdz Valencia hold simultaneous shows — “Fictions” and “Mystics of Deluded Existence,” respectively — which are on view until July 31 at Galerie Anna, The Artwalk, fourth floor, SM Megamall A, Mandaluyong City.

In “Fictions,” Pacheco unveils a narrative flow about a bird/birdman in various episodes of battle, entrapment, flight and introspection.

In “Mystics of Deluded Existence,” Valencia mines from his background of comics and skateboard graphics, combined with superstitions, folklore and urban mythology.

‘Triumph of Philippine Art’ at Ayala Museum

Ayala Museum, in partnerhsip with George Segal Gallery at Montclair State University, New Jersey, holds “Triumph of Philippine Art,” which opens today, 6 p.m. at the Third Floor Exhibition Halls, Ayala Museum, Makati Ave. corner Dela Rosa St., Makati City. The show runs until Aug. 31.

Participating artists are Leo Abaya, National Artist Benedicto “BenCab” Cabrera, Buen Calubayan, Ernest Concepcion, Mideo Cruz, Imelda Cajipe-Endaya, Brenda Fajardo, Mark Justiniani, Karen Ocampo Flores, Gregory Raymond Halili, Julie Lluch, Athena Magcase-Lopez, Racquel de Loyola, Renan Ortiz, Christina Quisumbing Ramilo, Mark Salvatus and Pablo Baen Santos.
