Ateneo Alumni Association holds ‘Master Class’ auction

MANILA, Philippines - The Ateneo Alumni Association (AAA)  is hosting the Ateneo Art Auction “’14 Bidding for Master Class Legacy and Dreams” on March 1 at 4 p.m. at Finale Art File, La Fuerza Compound, 2241 Pasong Tamo, Makati.

This is the sixth Ateneo Art Auction organized by the AAA to raise funds for scholarships and for its social involvement efforts. Beneficiaries for 2014 are the Order of the Blue Eagles (OBE) Scholarship Fund and the victims of Typhoon Yolanda.

Art lovers and patrons can look forward to this event as it will feature almost 100 works from our Filipino masters and emerging contemporary artists. 

Pieces include Ronald Ventura’s “Man in a Plastic Bag,” Lao Lianben’s “Zen Painter” series, Macario Vitalis’ “Seascape,” Cesar F. Legaspi’s “Female Nude” and Fernando C. Amorsolo’s “Bathing Ladies.”

Preview dates will be on Feb. 27 and 28, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., at Finale. The artworks are available for online viewing and online bidding at www.ateneoartauction.com.
