Bruce Beasley at Autodesk Gallery in San Francisco
Bruce Beasley showcases his sculptures — all output on 3D printers — in “Coriolis,†which is on view until Feb. 7, 2014 at Autodesk Gallery in San Francisco, USA.
While Beasley was among the first to legitimize 3D modeling as a way to draw, sketch and imagine, the “Coriolis†series is the first time Beasley used 3D printing to actually “sculpt†his final artwork. After using Autodesk Alias, 3dsMax and Inventor software to model the works, he used a state-of-the-art 3D printer to build up detailed ribbons of liquid plastic in ascending tiers to bring the designs to life.

Seventeen brilliantly designed jeepneys are on display until Jan. 1, 2014 at Megaworld Lifestyle Malls — Newport Mall in Resorts World Manila (RWM), Lucky Chinatown Mall and Eastwood City — for the final stretch of RWM’s “Pinoy Ultimate Jeepney†Design Contest 2013.
Now in its second year, the contest is part of RWM’s CSR efforts to revive and celebrate the prominence of the iconic Philippine jeepney as an initiative to further boost tourism, culture and the arts in the country.
