GMA Network Inc. recently held “Art Gap Open 2013,†a group painting exhibition participated in by the network’s employees and talents.
This year’s theme was “A Day in the Life of a Kapuso Employee.†Seven groups from various departments in the network joined the competition.
“Christmas Party†by John Paul Mendoza, Jona Morte and Jeanno Mojico of the Engineering Department bagged the first prize for “Christmas Party.â€

‘Safe Place in the Future (?) Dystopia Now Utopia Never†at the Museum of Contemporary Art and Design
The Museum of Contemporary Art (MCAD) of the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde and the Jim Thompsom Art Center present “Safe Place in the Future (?) Dystopia Now Utopia Never,†which is on view until Nov. 30 at MCAD, ground floor, De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, Ocampo St., Malate, Manila.
First exhibited in 2009 at Ver Gallery in Bangkok and in 2012 at the Jim Thompson Art Center, the show focuses on the circumstances that put the world at the risk and brings about dangerous conditions, both natural and man-made. The response towards these risks and situations is re-examined and re-interpreted in various forms, including sculpture, interactive media, documentary films, photography and more by artists.
