Junyee receives distinguished Alumnus award

MANILA, Philippines - Renowned visual and installation artist Junyee recently received the University of the Philippines 2013 Distinguished Alumnus Award for Culture and Arts. Last April, Junyee was also the recipient of 2013 Gawad Alab ng Sining Award (Most outstanding Alumnus of the UP College of Fine Arts) given during the College of Fine Arts graduation ceremony at the Bahay Alumni, UP Diliman, Quezon City. A recipient of numerous awards, in 1989, along with Behn Cervantes, Junyee was also awarded the Araw ng Manila, Patnubay ng Sining at Karilangan award.
