RM de Leon and Tosha Albor at Artinformal

RM de Leon and Tosha Albor hold simultaneous solo shows, which open on July 4 at Artinformal, 277 Connecticut St., Greenhills East, Mandaluyong City. The shows run until July 22.

In “From a Distance Beyond 18 Inches,” De Leon transforms classic imageries anew, eliminating the mystifying respect for the “old” and the hype for the new.

The images are chosen from the digital stock of the artist’s street photography portfolio, taken in different locations such as New York, Chicago, Makati and Hong Kong. The images are then printed on watercolor paper and painted with acrylic and graphite to create tension and continuity between the two media. The need for editions is forgone, thus producing one original work.

For inquiries, call 836-8799.
