Manuel Baldemor’s ‘Moments with Christ’ at SM Megamall

MANILA, Philippines - Manuel Baldemor mounts “Moments with Christ” which opens on March 20 at the Atrium of SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City.

The exhibit commemorates the life, death and passion of Jesus Christ. It is the result of the artist’s impression and inspiration from the last Black Nazarene procession in Quiapo.

Baldemor employs a special “dripping” technique in memory of the drops of blood Christ shed for our sins. It consists of letting the paint fall from the brush as it drops into the canvas. The paintings achieve a semi-mosaic effect highlighting the unseen grace and conflict of the sufferings of the Son of God.

The show is on view until March 31.
