Take the DELE exam at Instituto Cervantes

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines -  Registration period is now open for the exams to obtain a Diploma in Spanish as a Foreign Language (DELE) on May 24 and 25 at the Instituto Cervantes in Manila.

The DELE diplomas are official accreditations of a person’s degree of proficiency in Spanish, issued by Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Ministry of Education of Spain and adapted to the guidelines of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference). They are internationally recognized and enjoy great prestige not only among public and private educational institutions and authorities, but also in the business world and chambers of commerce. They constitute a guarantee in assessing and evaluating linguistic competence in the Spanish language.

The DELE diplomas are ideal for furthering one’s career and education. They are valid indefinitely and facilitate access to universities, grants and jobs.

The exams are offered in all the European levels: A1, A2, B1 (formerly initial level), B2 (formerly intermediate level), C1 and C2. The exam fees range from P2,210 to P3,624, depending on the level. Students of Instituto Cervantes who are currently enrolled and those who have taken the DELE exams in the past will enjoy a 20 percent discount.

Registration period is from Feb. 25 to April 19, and is open to students and the general public.

All the information concerning the DELE exams can be found at http://diplomas.cervantes.es or http://manila.cervantes.es.
