Galerie Joaquin’s ‘Year 11’ opens at Greenbelt 3
MANILA, Philippines - Galerie Joaquin presents its 11th anniversary exhibit titled “Year 11,†on view at the Greenbelt 3 Lobby in Makati City starting today until Feb. 14.

Tilak Hettige at BenCab Museum
Tilak Hettige will hold his fourth “Dawn to Dusk†photography workshop from March 1 to 3 at BenCab Museum, Km. 6 Asin Rd., Baguio City.
Hettige will engage photographers and photography enthusiasts in a forum on documentary photography on March 1, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Larawan Hall of Bencab Museum.
The discussion will cover visual storytelling and techniques used in documentary photography. Entrance to the forum is free with the BenCab Museum admission fee of P100/person.

The Legacy of the House of Alba’ at the Centro Cultural Center of the Cibeles Palace
Case de Alba Foundation, in partnership with the Madrid City Council, presents “The Legacy of the House of Alba: Patronage at the Service of Art,†which is on view at until March 31 at the Centro Cultural Center of the Cibeles Palace in Madrid, Spain.
The show features 150 emblematic pieces — paintings, sculptures, historical documents and manuscripts, archaeological pieces, jewels, furniture and costumes — from the Palacio de Liria, the Alba’s landmark Madrid residence.
Renowned works such as Francisco de Goya’s “The Duchess of Alba in White,†Fra Angelico’s “The Virgin of the Livestock†and Jusepe de Ribera’s “Landscape with Small Fort†and “Landcapes with Shephers†are also showcased.

‘You Have Every Right’ at Ateneo Art Gallery
Women artists from Germany, Sweden, Australia, Denmark and Manila reveal certain biographies wherein the personal becomes political in “You Have Every Right,†which opens on Feb. 16 at the Ateneo Art Gallery, Ateneo de Manila University, Katipunan Ave., QC. The show runs until April 20.
Participating artists are Maria Cruz (Berlin/Sydney/Manila), Lizza May David (Berlin/Manila), Tracey Moffatt (Sydney/New York), Claudia Del Fierro (Chile/Sweden), Annika Eriksson (Berlin/Sweden), Lilibeth Cuenca Rasmussen (Copenhagen) and Kiri Dalena (Manila).

Ukit: A Tribute to Manuel Rodriguez Sr.’ at Yuchengco Museum
The Printmakers Association of the Philippines (PAP) assembled a limited-edition folio, “Ukit: A Tribute to Manuel Rodriguez Sr.,†which features 14 original fine prints that pay homage to the Father of Philippine Printmaking.
The prints are made by Ambie Abaño, Pandy Aviado, Benjie Torrado Cabrera, Noel Soler Cuizon, Fil dela Cruz, Imelda Cajipe Endaya, Brenda Fajardo, Vic Fario, Jess Flores, Raul Isidro, Lenore RS Lim, Angelo Magno, Sam Occeno, and Josephine Turalba. The folio includes a cover sheet with quotations from Rodriguez and comes in a specially designed paper box.
