Liongoren Gallery and Brittany present ‘Color & Forms in Genes’
MANILA, Philippines - “Color & Form in Genes,” featuring artworks by renowned families of artists, is on view until Nov. 23 at Avant at The Fort, 3rd St. corner 26th St., corner 3rd Ave. Bonifacio Global City. Organized by Brittany, A Vista Land Company, and Liongoren Gallery, the exhibit honors the memory of Andres Bonifacio whose 150th birth anniversary falls on Nov. 30.
National Artist Napoleon Abueva and his son Mulawin will show their sculptures in bronze and wood together with the pottery of niece Lanelle Abueva-Fernando. The brothers Ferdie and Michael Cacnio will show their genre sculptures in brass with the esteemed senior artist Angel Cacnio will show his acrylic artwork. Jun Vicaldo, 2011 Awardee of Metrobank Prize for Achievement in Sculpture, will show together with his daughter Erline synthetic bronze sculptures. The De Pio family: Gig De Pio Sr., Simkin, Paulo and wife Aileen Lanuza will show their figurative paintings in different media. Notable modernist Alfredo Liongoren will show his abstract paintings beside the new media creations by sons Erik and Avid Liongoren. Former UP College of Fine Arts Dean Nestor Olarte Vinluan’s works will show his works together with that of his equally-gifted child Liv whose figurative paintings are haunting. The multi-awarded Samson brothers Jerson, Julius and Rey of Antipolo are all painters of inimitable style.

Flor Baradi’s ‘Visceral Gardens’ at Renaissance
Renaissance Gallery presents a collection of recent flower paintings by Flor Espanol Baradi. The exhibit is on view until Nov. 28.
Baradi intensifies the aesthetic appeal of her vibrantly colored subject by summoning emotional associations which a species of flower evokes. True to the artist’s name, the show celebrates the inexhaustible poetic beauty of flowers which communicate directly to the spirit.

‘Unang Hagod’ at Galeria de las Islas
