L'arc en Ciel at ManilaArt 2012
MANILA, Philippines - L’Arc en Ciel artists Mia Herbosa, Alfred Galura, Ditas Dominguez, Elaine Herbosa, Pilar Quiros, Margie Villonco, Stella Kim, Miguel Buhay and Connie Quirino will participate at 2012 Manila International Art Fair of ManilaArt, which will have its gala night tomorrow at the SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City. ManilaArt, now on its fourth year, will be open to the public from Oct. 3 until Oct. 6.
L’arc en Ciel was established 12 years ago. It follows the French atelier system wherein advanced students and beginners paint side by side immersed in their own work. The gallery setting offers inspiration also; its walls are filled with a revolving exhibit of triumphant paintings of the members of the atelier.
“We are first-timers at ManilaArt,” says Elaine Herbosa. “We are classical realists, traditional painters, adhering to the style of respected old school artists of centuries past. We dare to be different from all the rest and present to you works of beauty to enhance your spirit. We are chronicling momentous events in our lives as we see them, and we wish to share them.”
